Job description

Title: Respite Provider

Pay: $17.66/hourly

Job Posting:

Job Title: Respite Provider

Location: Wausau, WI

We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Respite Provider to work with an energetic young boy in the Wausau, WI area. Family is Spanish-speaking. The ideal candidate would be bilingual and committed to helping the child thrive through consistent routines and gentle guidance.

 

Wage:

  • $17.66/hourly

Schedule:

  • Occasional weekends (either on Saturday or Sunday) during the afternoon.
  • Sessions would be approximately 4-5 hrs., starting after 12pm.

Tasks:

  • Respite care is to be conducted either in the child’s home -or your home. Community outings are also encouraged.
  • Provide 1v1 care and supervision during all indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Engage the child in supportive and age-appropriate activities such as walks, movement games, and quiet time.
  • Assist with potty training goals
  • Ability to communicate with family regarding sessions.
  • Above all, hang out and have fun! This kiddo enjoys going to the park, jumping on trampolines, wings, and so much more..

Requirements:

  • Must pass a caregiver/criminal background check
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Preference to those who are bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Preference to those with previous experience working with individuals with support needs.
