We are a well-established, privately owned (non-PE) eyecare practice located in the vibrant Grand Concourse / Fordham neighborhood of the Bronx, NY. The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our team on a full-time basis. You will deliver comprehensive eye care to a diverse patient base, supported by an experienced staff that keeps your day running smoothly. What success looks like: You'll be seeing a steady, well-prepared schedule of patients, building trust with a loyal community, and leaning into the specialty work you enjoy—all with full operational support behind you.

What You'll Do

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose ocular conditions
  • Manage a schedule of 20+ patients per day from primary to quick follow ups
  • Providing your recommendations to the team to fit eyewear and contact lenses
  • Review diagnostic testing—auto refractions, visual fields, OCT, fundus photos, and tonometry—prepared by your workup team
  • Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and preventive care
  • Collaborate with front-desk and optical staff to ensure seamless patient experience

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
  • Active, unrestricted New York State optometry license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Proficiency in comprehensive eye examinations and diagnostic interpretation
  • Eligibility to work in the United States independently without the need for sponsorship

Location & Work Model

On-site in the Grand Concourse / Fordham neighborhood of the Bronx, NY. Commuting is easy with train and bus access plus nearby parking garages. Compensation

  • $700–$1,200 per day (average), based on schedule and experience
