Job description

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a fulltime board certified or board eligible maternal fetal medicine specialist to support the department's outpatient faculty practices and the NewYork-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns. The position will hold a rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Under the direction of the Chair and Director of Maternal Fetal Medicine, the person in this position will:

  • Provide clinical care in an outpatient setting including antepartum visits, preventive and problem-based gynecologic care and performing office procedures

  • Participate in an in-house labor and delivery call coverage pool for maternal fetal medicine patients at Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns

  • Provide clinical care reading ultrasound scans and oversight of the antepartum testing unit

  • Care for antepartum and postpartum inpatients

  • Teach and supervise medical students, residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers

  • Participate in continuing medical education and department quality initiatives

Salary Range: $ 390,000 - 425,000 (Assistant Professor)

The salary range listed is for full-time employment not including bonuses, clinical incentive compensation, or benefits. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, specialty, training, and hospital/community needs.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must have a medical degree, successfully complete a 4-year ACGME-accredited obstetrics and gynecology residency program, and successfully complete a 3-year ACGME-accredited maternal fetal medicine fellowship. Candidates must be board eligible or board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and maternal fetal medicine. The candidates must have or be able to obtain a valid New York State Medical License and possess a commitment to excellence and teaching.
