Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)

Position SummaryThe facility is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join its expanding Women's Health team in Bronx, New York. This is a full-time opportunity. The role emphasizes preventive women's health, education, and continuity of care while supporting safe, evidence-based maternity services.
Essential Position Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
- Conduct routine gynecologic exams, well-woman visits, and family planning services.
- Manage low- to moderate-risk pregnancies and collaborate with OB/GYN physicians for high-risk cases.
- Perform vaginal deliveries and provide intrapartum management as credentialed.
- Provide contraceptive counseling and management, including IUD and implant placement (as trained).
- Diagnose and treat common gynecologic conditions and infections.
- Educate patients on pregnancy, childbirth preparation, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Midwifery from an accredited program.
- Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) through the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
- Active or eligible Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Midwife license in New York.
- DEA registration (or eligibility).
- Prior clinical midwifery experience preferred.
- New graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.
