Workday Integration Lead
Job Description Overview
Client is seeking an Integration Lead. This is a senior technical role responsible for designing, leading, and managing the integration of systems, applications, and data across an organization. They act as a bridge between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring seamless connectivity and interoperability.
Key Responsibilities
  • System Integration Leadership: Lead the design and development of integration projects, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and UIs, and coordinate with technical and industry team leads on large-scale implementations
  • Architecture & Design: Develop integration architecture and specifications throughout the service development lifecycle; oversee top-down design methodology and facilitate handoffs from architects to developers
  • Technical Execution: Implement integration using platforms like Microsoft BizTalk, Mule ESB, SOA, Service Bus, BPEL, API Gateway, and related technologies
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure integrations meet functional, technical, and security requirements; manage quality, data governance, and compliance standards
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT, product, payroll, and operations teams to translate business requirements into integration specifications; coordinate with vendors and support teams
  • Documentation & Training: Prepare design, architectural, and operational documentation,SOPs, and training materials
  • Mentorship & Team Development: Mentor developers, promote best practices, and foster a strong integration-focused team cultureRisk & Change Management: Identify and manage project risks, control changes, and maintain baselines
  • Build enterprise visuals
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields
  • Certifications: CISSP, ITIL, PMP, TOGAF, CISM, SAP, or related integration/security certifications
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, microservices architecture, API strategy, and integration technologies.
  • Proficiency in Workday API Endpoints or HCM specific API’s and/or ERP API’s including Recruiting, Talent and Payroll API’s
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Node.js, Python, JavaScript, Java, or Claude
  • Methodologies: Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, and program management best practices
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Desire to learn Visio or similar product to illustrate enterprise approach.
