Pay Rate: $75,000 - $85,000 per year
Overview
Rooter Hero is seeking an experienced and driven Service Manager to lead our Concord, CA branch. This position is responsible for overseeing service operations, coaching and developing technicians, managing daily workflows, maintaining operational efficiency, and ensuring profitability targets are achieved.
The ideal candidate has proven experience in the plumbing service industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact team performance, customer satisfaction, and branch success.
ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development
- Conduct regular crew meetings with technicians and Channel Leaders.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
- Conduct one-on-one meetings and administer progressive discipline when necessary.
- Conduct onboarding and training for new hires.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing work environment.
Operations Management
- Oversee all active jobs and office staff to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Ensure jobs are properly closed out, preferably within 10 days.
- Maintain company vehicles and equipment to minimize downtime and repair costs.
- Order uniforms and coordinate operational resources for field staff.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Financial & Strategic Oversight
- Partner with the Regional Vice President to manage daily marketing costs.
- Review monthly financial statements and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve profitability.
- Meet or exceed monthly revenue targets and KPI goals outlined in the annual bonus program.
- Support strategic initiatives that drive operational growth and efficiency.
Administrative Duties
- Attend management and branch meetings as required.
- Maintain accurate operational records and reporting.
- Collaborate with leadership to improve processes and customer service outcomes.
Requirements
Must Have
- Minimum 2 years of management experience.
- Proven work experience in the Plumbing Service Industry.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel to customer homes, branch locations, and corporate offices as needed.
- Physical ability to drive, stand, bend, squat, and perform site visits when required.
Nice to Have
- Experience managing financial P&L statements and budgets.
- Experience in high-volume residential service trades.
- Experience developing training or onboarding programs for field personnel.
