    Overview

    Coordinated Careย Agencyย worksย collaboratively to provide a continuation of services from Shelters to Permanent Supportive Housing to individuals and families who have experienced homelessness in King County.ย We believe that everyone deserves a safe, affordable place to call home. People experiencing homelessness come to us with complex histories; it takes a highly collaborative, creative team to help end the cycle of homelessness permanently. Grounded in this philosophy, theย CCAย Division Director is an integral part of a team that provides leadership,ย visionย and support to a diverse group of shelter programs serving households experiencing homelessness in King County.ย 

    St. Margaret Place is aย 100-unit Permanent Supportive Housing property thatย utilizesย a housing first, harm reduction model for single adults moving out of homelessness. King County Coordinated Entry provides the housing referrals for the units.ย Thirtyย units serve veterans referred through the VA.ย The building has both studio and one-bedroom apartments.ย Shoreline PSHย is staffed 24 hours/dayย andย offersย on-site case management services.ย 

    Position Description:The Program Director provides leadership and supportย toย theย 24/7ย services andย facilitiesย staff.ย ย In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations, the Program Director coordinatesย with community partners to create a service-rich environment for the residents.ย ย This position offers an exciting opportunity toย developย and expandย Housing Firstย and Harm Reductionย bestย practicesย that honor and respect the dignity of each resident.ย 

    This position is compensated at $99,750.14 per year

    Responsibilities

    Supervision/Leadershipย 

    • Provide supervision,ย leadershipandย mentoringย ย 
    • Develop and safeย keepa culturally and ethnically diverse work environment.ย 
    • Overseeย staffย hiring, recognition, annual reviews, and disciplinary actions
    • Promote and support best practices in:Housing First /ย Harm Reduction,ย Loss and Grief,ย Trauma-Informed Care, Aging in Placeย and other relevant topics.ย ย ย 

    Supportive Services/Resident Relationsย 

    • Buildย community and promote a comfortable home for all residents.
    • Eviction Prevention:ย ย Developcreative strategiesย and interventionsย to support residents who areย at risk of losing theirย ย 
    • Emergencyย Response:ย ย Provideleadership in de-escalation and crisis i
    • Resident Care:ย ย Ensurequality end of life care for residents.ย ย Support staff and residents copingย withย loss and grief.ย ย 

    Property Management & Complianceย 

    • Maintainย 95%ย occupancy standardsย 
    • Oversee complianceย when filling vacant units.
    • Adhere to Washington Tenant-Landlord law when issuing legal notices.
    • Ensure data quality on several platforms.

    ย Fiscal Management

    • Submitย timelybillings, reports, and invoices.ย 
    • Ensureย timelyandย accurateย rent collection.ย 
    • Prepare annual housing and services budgetand funder budgets/applications.ย ย 
    • Practice strong fiscal stewardship through monitoring and controlling expenses.

    ย Facilities Management

    • Plan long-termย building improvementsandย preventative maintenance projects.ย 
    • Conductย regularย apartment and building inspectionsย and pest control.
    • Developtheย property's emergency preparedness plan and safety protocols.ย 

    Other

    • Maintain regular, scheduled office hours.
    • Respond to after-hours emergencies and share on-call responsibility.
    • Develop andย maintainpartnerships with organizations to support low-income housing.ย 
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Job ConditionsThis position requires the employee to work in an environment where there may be exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectiousย material. Other exposures could include cleaning supplies, bedbugs, chemicals involved in pest control,ย paintย and other materials used in building maintenance, building temperature fluctuations, dust, noise, and odors. Working conditions include interruptions, crisis response, and regular interactions with individuals who are dealing with issues of chemical dependency and/or mentalย illness, orย are experiencing anger or frustration.ย 

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Four years of experience working in social services or low-income housing (BA in Human or Social Services plus two years of work experience may substitute for the work requirement)
    • Two years of experience working in a Housing First/Harm Reduction service delivery model, either in housing or shelter.ย 
    • Strong supervisory and leadership skills: hiring, coaching,ย trainingand evaluating.ย 
    • Knowledge of the issues and obstaclesย encounteredby chronically homelessย persons withย substanceย use disorders.ย 
    • Demonstrable skills in addressingmental health, domestic abuse,ย andย substance use disorders, crisis intervention and other issues related to homelessness.ย 
    • Ability to communicate effectively,both orally and in writing.ย 
    • Proficiencyin word processingย and spreadsheet applications;ย ability to learn property management software.ย ย 
    • Support and uphold the mission,ย beliefsand values ofย Catholic Community Services (CCS).ย 
    • Demonstrate the necessary attitudes,ย knowledgeand skills to deliverย culturally competentย services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations.ย 

    Preferred Qualifications

    • MSW or otherย Master's level degree.
