Position: Per Diem Registered CT Tech    

Department: Advanced Radiology Center - Canfield

Shift: Mon-Fri 7:30am - 4:00pm

PURPOSE

The primary purpose of your job position as a CT Technologist in Advanced Radiology Center is to  perform assigned duties in an effective manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures, and as directed by your supervisor to assure that a successful viable department is maintained at all times.

Working under the direction of the Director of Ancillary Services and the Medical Imaging Supervisors, performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Must care for a patient population which includes adolescents and geriatrics; therefore, must be able to identify the special needs of each patient according to age and respond appropriately. Performs other job related duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Verification of successful graduation from an AMA accredited radiography program and certification                        
  • with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • CT registry eligible required. CT registered preferable.
  • Verification of Ohio State Radiological License.
  • General orientation and safety programs must be completed.
  • Technologist should be able to reach full productivity in 60 working days.
  • Has complete understanding of all CT procedures, sterile techniques and some knowledge of nursing
  • skills.
  • Should possess basic knowledge of how an Imaging Center functions.
  • Should possess good knowledge of how a CT unit functions.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology is required.
  • Has complete understanding of image processing and clerical procedures.
  • Must be able to work with long term and acute care patients.
  • Must be able to function effectively and efficiently in emergencies.
  • Must be able to make quick decisions when necessary.
