    The Product Operations Manager, Roadmap serves as the connective tissue between strategy, execution, and communication of Candescent's product roadmap. This role manages both the systems and governance that underpin how we plan, prioritize, and communicate our roadmap internally and externally.
    As part of the Core PDLC Operations team, this person ensures roadmap alignment with company goals, drives cross-functional coordination around prioritization and tradeoffs, and maintains clarity of communication around roadmap changes. The ideal candidate is equal parts systems thinker and storyteller-comfortable managing the tooling and data behind the roadmap, while also ensuring the "why" and "what's next" are clearly communicated across teams and to our customers.
    Primary Responsibilities:
    Roadmap Governance & Alignment
    • Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to ensure the roadmap reflects strategic priorities and company goals.
    • Maintain a structured governance process for roadmap updates, ensuring transparency and traceability for prioritization, tradeoffs, and changes.
    • Facilitate roadmap review cadences and planning sessions to keep leadership and teams aligned.

    Tooling & Systems Management
    • Administer and optimize roadmap management tools and integrations (e.g., Jira, JPD, Confluence, Salesforce) to ensure they serve as a single source of truth.
    • Define and evolve data standards for roadmap visibility, ensuring clarity and consistency across all product lines.
    • Drive automation opportunities to reduce manual work and improve the accuracy and accessibility of roadmap data.

    Communication & Change Management
    • Establish repeatable communication practices for roadmap updates-ensuring Product, Engineering, GTM, and Customer teams are informed of changes in a timely and effective way.
    • Partner with Product Marketing and GTM Launch teams to coordinate roadmap-related external messaging and release notes.
    • Create frameworks to distinguish between strategic direction, planned commitments, and in-flight delivery.

    Process & Prioritization
    • Support quarterly and annual planning cycles by integrating roadmap data into prioritization discussions and capacity modeling.
    • Develop and maintain playbooks for roadmap intake, scoring, and decision-making processes.
    • Help identify dependencies and risks early through data-driven visibility into roadmap progress.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Serve as the operational bridge between Product, Engineering, and GTM to ensure roadmap decisions are well-informed and well-communicated.
    • Enable downstream functions (Support, Success, Marketing, Sales) to plan ahead with confidence by maintaining reliable roadmap signals.

    Qualifications:
    Technical
    • Advanced fluency with Jira, Confluence, and other PDLC tools; experience designing and maintaining roadmap or planning dashboards.
    • Strong data literacy-able to use data to inform prioritization and communicate roadmap health.
    • Experience operationalizing product roadmapping and lifecycle management processes.
    • Familiarity with product analytics, planning systems, and integration workflows (e.g., Jira ↔ Salesforce, Jira ↔ Domo).

    Experience & Skills
    • 6+ years in Product Operations, Product Management, or Program Management roles within SaaS or technology organizations.
    • Proven ability to design and evolve governance frameworks for roadmap or PDLC processes.
    • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills-able to navigate priorities across diverse groups.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication; skilled at translating complex product plans into digestible formats for multiple audiences.
    • Strategic mindset with the ability to zoom between tactical execution and big-picture alignment.
