Job description

CAE Engineer L3 Raymond OH Pay: $57.50 12 months+
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering. Minimum of 10+ years of industry experience as a CAE analyst with demonstrated expertise in structural simulation across one or more domains such as NVH, Crash, Strength, or Durability. Must have experience developing, documenting, and validating new CAE methods for improved modeling and analysis accuracy. A related advanced degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience.
Software Experience:
Pre-/Post-Processing: Minimum of 10 years of experience using industry-standard pre-/post-processing tools for full-vehicle-level CAE model construction, visualization, and analysis (e.g., ANSA, META, HyperWorks, ModSim).
Structural Simulation Solvers: Strong working knowledge of solvers relevant to the candidate's domain of expertise. Examples by domain include:
NVH: OptiStruct, Nastran, Actran
Crash: LS-DYNA, Abaqus Explicit
Strength / Durability: Abaqus Standard, Nastran, OptiStruct
(Candidates are not expected to have experience with all listed tools. Deep expertise in structural simulation principles and the ability to apply them across solvers is valued over familiarity with any specific software)
Beyond software proficiency, the ideal candidate must demonstrate:
Independent engineering judgment — the ability to think critically through complex, open-ended problems rather than simply executing predefined tasks or following established workflows.
Validation mindset — experience correlating CAE predictions against physical test data to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement.
Problem ownership — a proactive approach to identifying root causes, questioning assumptions, and proposing solutions that go beyond what was explicitly requested.
