Job Purpose and Impact

The Advisor, Energy Derivative Sales, will assist in the development of programs to achieve maximum sales consistent with projections. In this role, you will contribute to achieving budgeted sales within assigned region or account, help prospect new accounts, secure appointments, identify needs, deliver sales presentations, negotiate terms and conditions, resolve objections and close sales.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement strategies focused on growing client base within the energy industry.
  • Implement processes to drive revenue with new customers and the existing portfolio.
  • Collaborate on complex accounts, products and services, sales or account management process.
  • Manage external relationships with customers, financial institutions and financial sponsors across the energy value chain.
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems.
  • You may provide direction to support team members and be a strategic contributor.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Product and fundamental understanding of energy commodity markets
  • Ability to independently lead diligence efforts, develop go-to-market plans and execute on strategic initiatives
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in either commodity trading or energy finance
  • Deep understanding of derivative sales associated with commercial finance, including lending arrangements, securitizations, and intercreditor agreements.
  • Minimum 10 years of related work experience
  • Experience working in a regulated environment
