Speech Therapist
Location: Angelina, Polk, and Tyler Counties

Compensation: Negotiable, depending on qualifications and experience.
About the Role
Burke is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech, oral motor therapy, and consultative services to developmentally delayed and/or medically at-risk children from birth to age three through community-based and telehealth settings. As part of the Burke Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) team, this position also conducts screenings and assessments and participates in developing comprehensive, family-centered treatment plans.

About the Role
Burke is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech, oral motor therapy, and consultative services to developmentally delayed and/or medically at-risk children from birth to age three through community-based and telehealth settings. As part of the Burke Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) team, this position also conducts screenings and assessments and participates in developing comprehensive, family-centered treatment plans.
What You'll Do
- Provide speech and oral motor therapy in community-based and telehealth settings, as recommended by the interdisciplinary team.
- Deliver consultative services to children, families, caregivers, and team members.
- Conduct speech-language screenings and assessments for infants and toddlers who are developmentally delayed and/or medically at risk.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and review of comprehensive, individualized treatment plans.
- Document services accurately and timely in accordance with program requirements and professional standards.
- Collaborate with families and other ECI professionals to support each child's development in everyday routines and environments.
- Complete required program training and maintain compliance with Burke policies and applicable licensing requirements.
Required
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
- Current ASHA certification.
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license is issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
- Valid Texas driver's license and a driving record insurable by Burke's insurance administrator.
- CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, and all other training required by the program.
- One (1) year of experience working with children from birth to age three and/or preschool-age children.
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
