    Job description

    Responsible for preparing and serving hand-crafted, quality beverages. Operate cash registers and credit card machines. Maintains good customer service with quick delivery of all beverages.
    Distinguishing Characteristics:

    Responsible for taking orders and making coffee, tea and other drinks to customer specifications. Address customer questions or concerns while working to maintain good customer relations and continuing to deliver beverages quickly.
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Greets customers, take orders, mixes and serves hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, cafe latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks, etc. while considering customer specifications.
    • Works to maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of all beverages and food items.
    • Arranges coffee bar/cart supplies and cups/mugs to make attractive displays.
    • Maintains bar/cart area in a neat and sanitary manner.
    • Often cleans coffee machines, restaurant areas, restrooms and preparation areas.
    • Records all sales, collects money, operates a cash register and follows all cash-handling procedures as required.
    • May sell food items.
    • Attends in-service and safety meetings.
    • Attends all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training.
    • Complies with all Blackstone Consulting, Inc. HACCP policies and procedures.
    • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
    • Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
    • Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
    • Attends training programs as designated.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    • Follow written and verbal instructions.

    • High School graduate, or GED required.
    • Must have solid work ethics.
    • Good reading and writing skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communicative skills.
    • 6 months - 1year previous work experience.

    Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., phone)
    Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private) Must have the legal right to work in the United States
    Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English

    EXPERIENCE
    Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying:
    One year of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities.
