    Shift Schedule & Availability
    This position is designed for those who enjoy a consistent, split-shift routine. To ensure the safety of our students, candidates must be available for all three daily shift blocks:
    • AM, Midday, and PM Shifts
    • Averaging 6 hours per day
    • Monday through Friday (Follows the school calendar)

    Role Overview
    As a School Bus Monitor (Bus Aide), your primary mission is to safeguard our "precious cargo." You will support the Driver by managing student behavior and assistance, allowing them to focus entirely on the road. You are the friendly face that greets students every morning and ensures they arrive home safely every afternoon.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Student Safety: Maintain a calm and safe environment on the bus at all times.
    • Assistance: Help students board and depart the vehicle; assist with seating and specialized equipment.
    • Driver Support: Act as a second set of eyes and ears so the Driver can focus on the road.
    • Child Checks: Perform mandatory "Child Checks" at the end of every route to ensure no student is left behind.
    • Community Engagement: Greet students and parents with a pleasant, professional demeanor.

    Essential Job Functions
    • Securely fastening children in seats and kneeling to secure wheelchair restraints.
    • Comfortably ascending and descending school bus stairs.
    • Bending, stooping, and lifting as required to assist students with various needs.
