About BayCare
BayCare is currently in search of our newest Medical Assistant or LPN who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. BayCare's top priority is the health and well-being of our communities as Tampa Bay's leading multi-specialty group, with more than 600 providers practicing 45 specialties across over 175 outpatient locations throughout the Tampa Bay and west central Florida regions.
Role Overview
As a Medical Assistant or LPN, you will support providers and clinical teams by delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations in a fast-paced physician office setting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments
  • Obtain patient histories, vitals, and clinical information
  • Perform routine lab procedures and prepare specimens for transport
  • Follow up on test orders and communicate results to providers and patients
  • Maintain and update patient electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Provide patient education materials and support patient inquiries
  • Maintain medical equipment and order clinical supplies
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations
  • Support overall clinical workflow and patient care
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
🎓 Education - Required
  • High School Diploma or GED

🎓 Certifications / Licensure - Required
  • Medical Assistant certification within 6 months of hire
  • OR active credential as EMT, NREMT, or Paramedic
  • OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Experience
  • Preferred: 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
