Serving as a representative of Baker College, the advisor actively participates in college fairs, high school visits, and community events, engaging with students, families, and educators to promote the institution's programs and core values. By building strong relationships and identifying new recruitment opportunities, they contribute meaningfully to the college's growth and outreach efforts.
Regional Admissions Advisors based in Muskegon primarily focus on recruitment efforts in Southwestern Michigan.
In this role, the Regional Admissions Advisor provides comprehensive counseling on educational opportunities, admission procedures, financial aid options, and institutional policies while maintaining regular communication across multiple channels. The advisor leverages institutional technology platforms to manage student records, track applicant progress, and contribute to data-driven decision-making. Working collaboratively with the broader admissions team, they help develop and execute recruitment strategies, deliver engaging information sessions, and maintain exceptional customer service to ensure positive experiences for prospective students. Additionally, they stay current on higher education trends, engage in ongoing professional development, and partner with campus stakeholders to facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for all admitted students while upholding Baker College's values with professionalism and integrity.
Candidates for the Regional Admissions Advisor position at Baker College should hold a Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Master's degree preferred). Additionally, candidates are required to have 1-3 years of higher education admissions experience, with preference given to those with more than 3 years' experience.
