USARCENT Staff Augmentation Program
JOB REQUISITION Position Title: Transportation Specialist Req Number: USARCENT-TS-003 Program: USARCENT Staff Augmentation Client: Bailey Information Technology Location: USARCENT AOR / CONUS Supporting Installation (as assigned) Security Clearance: Secret (must currently hold or be immediately eligible; active investigation within scope) Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt Travel: As required by mission (CONUS/OCONUS)

Position Summary

Bailey Information Technology is seeking a Transportation Specialist to support the USARCENT Staff Augmentation Program. The Transportation Specialist coordinates movement of personnel, equipment, and cargo and provides transportation planning support to the command staff.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Process transportation movement requests (TMRs) and coordinate ground, air, and sea movement of personnel and cargo.
  • Develop and maintain movement schedules, load plans, and convoy support packages.
  • Coordinate with installation transportation offices, ports, and joint movement centers on shipment status.
  • Track and report status of in-transit visibility (ITV) for cargo and equipment.
  • Support unit deployment and redeployment transportation planning.
  • Prepare transportation-related reports and briefings for command review.
  • Maintain compliance with hazardous material shipping and safety requirements as applicable.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college or technical training preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in military or DoD transportation/logistics operations.
  • Working knowledge of Army movement and transportation regulations and procedures.
  • Experience with transportation systems such as DTS, GATES, or ITV tracking tools.
  • Current Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior military 88-series (Transportation) MOS experience or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting deployment/redeployment operations or port operations.
  • Familiarity with joint and multinational movement coordination.
Security Clearance Requirement

This position requires a current, active Secret security clearance. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance level for the duration of the assignment in support of USARCENT.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

Work is generally performed in a standard office or garrison environment. May require prolonged sitting, use of a computer, and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Duties may require entry into austere or field environments as mission dictates.
