ROLE SUMMARY

This is a full-ownership branch leadership role, responsible for driving profitable operations across sales, service, warehouse, and logistics functions. The right candidate combines strong business development instincts with hands-on operational oversight, a track record of developing high-performing teams, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships in a distribution or industrial supply environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own branch P&L, including budget preparation, expense monitoring, and financial performance against targets
  • Lead and develop a branch team across inside sales, customer service, warehouse, and logistics functions
  • Drive new business development while maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships
  • Oversee inventory management, cycle count programs, and shipping and receiving operations
  • Monitor and optimize daily workflows to ensure the timely execution of sales and service commitments
  • Align branch strategy with national account service requirements and regional growth priorities
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and hold team members accountable
  • Identify and implement training and development plans to build team capability
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, DOT regulations, and SOX controls
  • Champion a safety-first culture, including hazard identification, incident reporting, and corrective action follow-through
  • Maintain confidentiality of pricing, contracts, and sensitive business information
  • Report branch performance to regional leadership and provide relevant market intelligence

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in customer service, inside sales, and/or warehouse/distribution operations, with demonstrated supervisory responsibility
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
  • Proven ability to develop and execute branch or location-level business plans
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across customers, internal teams, and executive stakeholders
  • Experience managing inside and outside sales activities in a distribution or industrial supply environment
  • Proficiency with standard business software and ERP/order management systems
  • Willingness and ability to travel within and outside the branch service area, with occasional overnight stays
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required
  • Ability to obtain certification to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material handling equipment
