Supervisor Water Safety Attendant
Location: Wai Kai, ?Ewa Beach, O?ahu
Employment Type: Part-Time/Full-Time | Non-Exempt (Hourly)
On-site, in-person role based at Wai Kai
About Wai Kai

We are seeking a Supervisor Water Safety Attendant to lead daily water safety operations and support a strong, safety-first team environment across all water-based activities.
What You Will Do
This role blends leadership, safety oversight, and guest experience.
Lead the Team
  • Supervise and support daily operations of the Water Safety Attendant team
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing coverage, and shift coordination
  • Provide coaching, training support, and real-time feedback to team members
  • Support ongoing safety drills and team development

Oversee Guest Safety and Experience
  • Ensure all safety briefings and monitoring protocols are followed
  • Serve as the primary responder for escalated guest concerns and emergencies
  • Maintain a strong presence on deck, creating a safe and positive environment

Support Operations
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, including equipment and area checks
  • Monitor equipment condition and report supply or maintenance needs
  • Partner with leadership on events, staffing, and cross-department coordination

Ensure Compliance and Reporting
  • Complete and review safety checklists, incident reports, and logs
  • Ensure adherence to all water safety, lifeguard, and facility protocols
What We Are Looking For
  • Previous experience in water safety, recreation, or a related field preferred
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and guest service standards
  • Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for working outdoors and in a team-focused environment
Certifications and Requirements
  • Ability to obtain Star Guard Lifeguard Certification (training and certification provided if hired)
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification required (training and certification provided if hired)
  • Hawaii Boaters Safety Certification required (training and certification provided if hired)
  • Ability to swim 550 yards, tread water, and perform physical rescue duties
Working at Wai Kai
  • This is an on-site role based in ?Ewa Beach
  • Work outdoors in a dynamic, water-based environment
  • Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and peak periods
  • Physically active role requiring swimming, lifting, and assisting guests
