    We’re looking for a Distribution Engineer  in the Atlanta GA area—are you ready to explore your career with us?
     
    As a Mid‑Level Distribution Engineer with Asplundh Engineering Services (AES), you will support safe, reliable electrical infrastructure by designing upgrades, evaluating system performance, and partnering closely with utility clients across Georgia. You’ll leverage best‑in‑industry tools, remote flexibility, and hands‑on collaboration to deliver high‑quality distribution engineering solutions. This role combines engineering expertise, customer interaction, and project ownership—offering exceptional growth within an industry leader backed by 100+ years of innovation.
     
    WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; BS EE + 4+ years experience or MS + 2+ years relevant experience.
    • Demonstrated experience in distribution design and distribution reliability.
    • Proficiency with system analysis tools including CYME Distribution, CYMTCC, and device coordination.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to work directly with clients and internal project teams.
    • Ability to work remotely while maintaining local availability within Georgia (preferably Atlanta area) for field meetings and on‑site coordination.
    HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
    • Evaluate electrical distribution systems and apply engineering design standards to develop upgrade or replacement designs in compliance with utility requirements.
    • Prepare engineering drawings, detailed project estimates, and construction‑ready documentation.
    • Utilize NESC clearance requirements, utility construction standards, and pole‑framing guidelines to update distribution infrastructure.
    • Regularly work in client proprietary software to complete all components of the distribution design workflow.
    • Coordinate project details and work orders with utility personnel, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
    • Review and validate engineering drawings to ensure technical accuracy, safety, and reliability.
    • Contribute to reliability improvement efforts through system modeling, device coordination, and protective scheme evaluation.
    • Other duties as assigned.
     
    Pre‑Screen: Upon offer, candidates may be required to pass a drug screen, background check, and/or MVR check.
    License: Valid driver’s license required.
