Using RNAi-based technologies, Arrowhead is pioneering therapies with rapid, deep, and durable target gene knockdown. Our clinical pipeline includes promising therapies for rare cardiometabolic conditions such as Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS) and Severe Hypertriglyceridemia (SHTG). Arrowhead is headquartered in Pasadena, CA with research and development facilities in Madison, WI and San Diego, CA.
The Position
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Associate Director to focus on identifying unmet needs and gaps in care across health systems for patients with rare cardiovascular diseases. This role emphasizes understanding how health information technologies and real-world evidence can help close care gaps, improve patient identification, and drive better outcomes. By collaborating with healthcare providers, decision-makers, and internal Arrowhead teams, this individual will highlight opportunities where EHR optimization can shape care delivery.
Responsibilities
Identify Gaps in Care
  • Partner with health systems to understand unmet needs in rare cardiovascular disease management.
  • Assess where patients are missed or underdiagnosed and highlight barriers to care delivery.

Generate Insights & Evidence
  • Collect real-world insights on system challenges, patient pathways, and access barriers.

Support System Engagement
  • Facilitate dialogue with clinical, IT, and administrative leaders to uncover opportunities for better patient identification and care coordination.
  • Communicate how health IT tools and real-world data can be leveraged to address gaps in diagnosis and treatment.

Collaborate Across Functions
  • Share insights with Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams to guide resource development and strategy.
  • Ensure findings align with compliance and regulatory standards.

Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MS, MPH, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in health economics, outcomes research, medical affairs, or related healthcare field.
  • Experience working with health systems, payers, or research teams to identify gaps in care and assess value.

Skills & Competencies
  • Strong understanding of EHR capabilities across different platforms.
  • Ability to synthesize real-world insights and communicate value narratives.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with real-world evidence generation and health system trends is beneficial.

Success Metrics
  • Identification of key gaps in patient care pathways.
  • Quality and relevance of real-world insights gathered from health systems.
  • Impact on EHR pathways and workflows.
  • Contribution to improved patient identification and evidence-based adoption of therapies.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary: $140,000-$180,000, plus incentive compensation.
  • Equity (RSUs) and car allowance program.
  • Comprehensive benefits package: health, dental, vision, 401(k).
