Data Architect, Customer Data & Marketing Technology

Location: Phoenix, AZ Duration: 12 Months

Essential Functions:

• Create and maintain data architecture designs that support business and technical requirements for high-quality, performant data solutions in support of a Marketing Technology Stack.
• Use your expertise to drive innovation. Create best-in-class data solutions with approved security, regulatory, and compliant process that have strong referenceable documentation.
• Leverage strong interpersonal skills to manage and engage with third party vendors and providers.
• Ability to lead technical requirements as input into RFP process to select appropriate tools, and then inform the data architecture and flow within those systems and platforms.
• Create and maintain documentation related to data architecture standards, protocols, and frameworks.
• Implement data modeling standards and ensure adherence within data management solutions.
• Assessment and recommendations regarding data engineering practices, monitoring and orchestration.
• Recommend low touch, automated architectural decisions to address business needs. Research and recommend tools and services to improve data management processes and support architectural standards and patterns.
• Participate in data solution prototyping initiatives.
• Develop mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and architecture, with the goal of ensuring data quality.
• Create and maintain data model and metadata policies and procedures for functional design.
• Provide technical recommendations and engage with ETL, BI, Integration, Solution, System, and security Architects.
• Translate business requirements into data models and meta data, test data, and data quality standards.
• Mentor and educate more junior data architecture team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or higher in the field of engineering, computer science or equivalent advance technology field of study.
• Experience with CRM systems, email service providers, mobile app technology, and Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) required.
• At least 5 years of experience architecting customer data solutions.
• Experience with first party data collection and management required.
• Data and analytics architecture, and data lake/data warehousing.
• Data Analysis, Data Modelling (ERD), Master Data Management patterns and implementation, Data Landscape Design (Data Flow, API).
• Cloud Architecture (Azure) Databases (SQL, Mongo) and Cloud DW (Databricks).
• Data schema such as star schemas, relational and data vault structures.
• Superior coding with complex SQL.
