    Job Description:

    We are seeking an experienced TS/SCI (w/ full scope poly) cleared DevOps Engineer that has exceptional experience in Python and AWS to support a large R&D program that is focused on providing advanced intelligence capabilities for the benefit of the DoD and IC communities. The right candidate will have deep hands-on expertise with microservices / container architectures (e.g. Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes), and should have experience with configuration/management tools such as Gitlab. You will support a very high visibility project and be part of a mid-sized team where you will work with application development teams across the software development life cycle, creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Designing and implementing AWS Cloud-based hosting solutions, as well as Cloudbased backup and recovery, including failover zones.

    • Executing AWS billing and accounting best practices to minimize oversubscription of AWS cloud environment services

    • Troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues for CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness

    • Developing tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments

    • Performing automated testing, automated deployments (CI/CD pipelines), and branching strategy and implementation.

    Required Must Have Skills:

    • Hands-on experience with microservices / container architectures (e.g. Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes) orchestration and automation

    • Kubernetes skills required: ArgoCD, Helm, Prometheus

    • Experience with configuration/management tools such as Gitlab

    • Strong python scripting/programming skills

    • Experience developing enterprise AWS cloud-native solutions

    • Experience hosting applications on commercial cloud providers

    • Experience with Jenkins, GitLab runners, GitHub actions, Terraform, Terragrunt, and Pulumi

    • TS/SCI clearance with a CI polygraph

    • Bachelor's degree in CS or Computer Engineering

    Desired/Bonus Skills:  

    • Experience managing and maintaining ElasticSearch and Kibana

    • Grafana experience

    • Golang experience

    • Experience creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks

    • Experience creating and improving continuous deployment tools built on Kubernetes

    • Experience triaging and resolving issues related to both open-source and commercial tools in public cloud environments

    • Experience bringing other organizations on board with DevOps, championing the adoption of DevOps processes, tools, and roles, and working with other development teams to recast work

    • Master's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or a related field

    • NGA or IC Domain Experience
