Job Title: Part-Time/Contract Medical Director (OBOT Program)

Location: Huber Heights, OH (Hybrid)

Position Type: Part-Time (10–15 hours per week)

Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Medical Director to lead and support our Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) program. This is a hybrid, part-time opportunity for a physician who is passionate about delivering high-quality addiction care and driving clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the OBOT program
  • Supervise Nurse Practitioners and other physicians
  • Collaborate with providers, administrative staff, and patients to ensure quality care delivery
  • Deliver guidance, feedback, and training to clinical staff
  • Implement and enforce standards of care and clinical protocols
  • Address performance concerns and ensure corrective actions are completed
  • Maintain active involvement in patient care as needed
  • Participate in occasional out-of-state travel
  • Must be familiar with and comfortable using EHR systems, Word, and Excel.
Schedule & Work Environment:
  • 10–15 hours per week
  • Schedule determined collaboratively
  • Must be available during standard business hours
  • Hybrid role with required on-site clinic presence as needed
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified in Addiction Medicine or Psychiatry (both preferred)
  • Active Medical License and DEA Registration in the state of OH
  • Experience supervising advanced practice providers (NPs/PAs) preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Comfortable working with EHR systems and basic software (Word, Excel)
Compensation:
  • Starting at $150/hour, with higher rates based on experience
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a proactive and engaged leader—not just an overseer—who is committed to improving patient outcomes and supporting clinical teams through direct involvement, mentorship, and accountability.

Here is what you can expect from us:
AppleGate Recovery a progressive substance abuse treatment organization, is committed to the highest quality of patient care in a comfortable outpatient clinic setting.  Our ultimate goal is to address the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of opioid use disorder to help each of our patients achieve long-term recovery and an improved quality of life.
