Job Title: Tooling Engineer

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Job Type: Fulltime

Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in automotive or trucking environments and proven record of tooling design and implementation

Role Overview

  • The Tooling Engineer will be responsible for sourcing and deploying new or upgraded tooling required to achieve throughput targets.
  • This role involves working closely with local engineers and design teams to ensure that target results are achieved efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and deploy new or upgraded tooling to meet throughput targets.
  • Collaborate with local engineers and design teams to ensure tooling meets project requirements.
  • Manage tooling implementation from concept to validation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during tooling deployment.
  • Monitor and validate tooling performance against defined targets.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in automotive or trucking environments.
  • Proven record of tooling design and implementation.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues promptly.

Education Criteria

  • All engineers must hold a 4-year engineering degree in their respective discipline.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in advanced tooling technologies and automation.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
