Job description

IT Systems Analyst – POS Systems SupportJob OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented IT Systems Analyst to support and maintain critical business technology systems across the organization. This role is responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, implementing, and optimizing IT systems with a strong focus on Point-of-Sale (POS) platforms and operational technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting POS environments including Galaxy, Infogenesis, Eatec, and Yellowdog systems. This position works closely with operations, finance, food and beverage, retail, and IT teams to ensure system reliability, operational efficiency, and exceptional end-user support. The IT Systems Analyst will play a key role in system integrations, software deployments, issue resolution, reporting, and continuous process improvement across multiple business units. ⸻Key ResponsibilitiesSupport, maintain, and troubleshoot POS systems including Galaxy, Infogenesis, Eatec, and YellowdogAnalyze existing systems and workflows to identify operational and technical improvementsConfigure and maintain POS terminals, peripherals, menus, pricing, inventory, and user accessMonitor system performance and resolve software, hardware, and connectivity issuesCollaborate with departments to gather business requirements and implement system enhancementsAssist with integrations between POS systems, inventory platforms, payment systems, and reporting toolsPerform software updates, patches, testing, and system deploymentsDevelop and maintain technical documentation, workflows, and support proceduresProvide end-user training and technical support for operational staff and managersGenerate and analyze system reports to support business operations and decision-makingAssist with vendor coordination and escalation of system-related issuesEnsure systems comply with company security standards and operational policiesParticipate in after-hours or on-call support when requiredQualifications & SkillsRequired QualificationsProven experience supporting POS systems in hospitality, retail, entertainment, or food service environmentsExperience with Galaxy, Infogenesis, Eatec, and Yellowdog systems preferredStrong understanding of POS hardware, networking, and software troubleshootingKnowledge of Windows operating systems and basic network infrastructureExperience with system integrations, user management, and reporting toolsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldExperience with SQL, database management, or reporting platformsFamiliarity with payment processing systems and inventory management solutionsKnowledge of cybersecurity best practices and system access controlsExperience working in theme parks, hospitality, food service, or retail operationsIT certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, or ITIL are a plus ⸻Core CompetenciesPOS systems administrationTechnical troubleshootingProcess improvementSystems integrationCustomer supportCommunication and collaborationTime management and organizationAdaptability in high-volume operational environments ⸻Work EnvironmentThis role operates in a fast-paced operational environment supporting multiple business units and locations.
