The Senior Manager of Data Concern Reporting & Management plays a critical role in supporting the execution of the enterprise data concern management framework. Reporting to the Director, this role is responsible for leading a team focused on the identification, documentation, analysis, and resolution of data concerns across the organization. The Senior Manager will work closely with data owners, risk and compliance partners, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective management of data risks, while maintaining high standards for quality and governance.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the intake, triage, and documentation of data concerns, ensuring accurate classification and tracking in the enterprise system of record.
  • Oversee root cause analysis to determine underlying causes of data-related concerns and identify accountable parties.
  • Monitor open data concerns to ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented, progress is tracked, and concerns are escalated as needed.
  • Support the development and ongoing refinement of the data concern taxonomy, including proper alignment to data lifecycle phases and risk categories.
  • Produce reports, dashboards, and insights for senior Risk Committees, on data concern trends and root causes using data visualization and analytics tools.
  • Produce reports, dashboards, and insights spanning various data management activities.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders across lines of business to communicate expectations and promote adherence to the data concern management process.
  • Provide support for training, communications and change management related to data concerns. Collaborate with risk, compliance, and audit partners to support reviews, exams, and other oversight activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, including process enhancements, automation, and standardization of reporting and documentation practices.
  • Collaborate with Technology partners to integrate data from identified sources into reporting systems, define tool requirements, and perform User Acceptance Testing for deployed changes.
  • Conduct report validation to ensure accuracy and completeness of metrics and supporting details.
  • Work with business partners to identify and document root cause / impact of KRIs/KPIs.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, incident management, risk management, data reporting analysis or a related function, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of incident or issue management processes, including root cause analysis, remediation tracking, and closure validation.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and risk taxonomies.
  • Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, or equivalent required.
  • Basic understanding of Agile methodology and delivery concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience leading or mentoring team members and working in a cross-functional, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to articulate complex concepts in a manner consumable by a broad stakeholder base, including a senior executive audience.
  • The ability to bring structure to ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured, fast paced dynamic environment.
