Job description

Position Summary:


As a technician, you are a crucial part of our production team. Responsible for performing high-quality vehicle upfitting tasks to meet customer specifications and industry standards. Your role includes installing, modifying, and testing equipment on commercial vehicles with precision and efficiency. By ensuring excellence in your work, you contribute directly to the satisfaction of our customers and the success of our operations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Vehicle Upfitting

.  12 Volt Electrical Installations

· Perform installations and modifications on commercial vehicles, including electrical, mechanical, and structural upfits.

· Follow work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications to complete assigned tasks accurately.

· Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently to ensure quality workmanship.

Troubleshooting and Problem Solving

· Identify and resolve technical issues during the installation or modification process.

· Conduct functional tests to verify that all installed components operate correctly and meet requirements.

· Report and address any discrepancies or challenges encountered during projects.

Quality Assurance

· Inspect work to ensure it meets company and customer standards for quality and functionality.

· Maintain attention to detail to prevent rework or defects.

· Document completed tasks and maintain accurate records as required.

Team Collaboration

· Work closely with fellow technicians, the Lead Technician, and other departments to complete projects on time.

· Communicate effectively to ensure alignment of project requirements and expectations.

· Provide input on potential improvements to processes and workflows.

Safety and Compliance

· Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.

· Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow company policies to minimize risk.

· Stay informed about regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Experience 


· 5+ years of experience in a similar field preferred but not required.

· Strong understanding of the industry, vehicle upfitting processes, tools, materials, and best practices in a production environment.


Education


Degree/Certificate in Automotive Field or related field preferred but not required.


Physical Demands


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
