Job description


Make your mark in Claims Operations


Reporting directly to the Head of NAM Claim Supplier Management, the role is responsible for owning the strategy, development, and performance of AIG's global legal matter management and vendor e-billing platforms. The role will focus on leading the management and expansion of systems across North America and Internationally, as well as leading the relationship with the relevant software providers. The role will also oversee teams for reporting and data management in relation to claim spend managed within the tools.


About the role:

This role requires four days in one of our AIG office. Key responsibilities are below.


Product Ownership & Platform Strategy

Own the global product roadmap for the Claims Matter Management & E Billing platforms for Law Firms and Vendors.

Leading the engagement between the AIG stakeholders and the software providers in developing use cases and delivering use cases.

Maintain relationships with software providers and ensure they're meeting AIG's performance requirements.

AIG's Subject Matter Expert in relation to the operation and oversight of matter management and eBilling software.


Legal Spend & Data Analytics

Leading a team who provide claim Law firm and Vendor spend across NAM and INT.

Developing clear reporting structure and cadence for landscape spend data supporting both NAM and INT.

Review eBilling data to help identify performance metrics which assist Claim leads in the selection and management of law firms / vendors.

Provide clear reports to team leaders, stakeholders and AIG claims executives.

Support panel decisions including firm selection, consolidation, and rate negotiations.


Minimum Experience / Qualifications

8+ years prior experience leading engagements with insurance Claim systems.

Previous system ownership experience including user testing, interface development, and performance management.

Knowledge of eBilling systems for Law Firms / Vendors.

Knowledge of Claims and litigation processes / performance measures.

Significant experience and expertise with data management, dashboard development and statistical analysis.

Proven ability to effectively communicate data metrics and insights to key stakeholders and executives.

Experience in managing a team and collectively achieving required goals.

Exhibits confidence in self and others; inspires and motivates others to perform well. Excellent team building, and coaching skills.

Advanced in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.


For positions based in NYC, the base salary range is $125,000 - $138,000. For positions based in NJ, the base salary range is $122,000 - $138,000. For positions based in Illinois, the base salary range is $120,000 - $138,000. For positions based in MA, the base salary range is $ $120,000 - $138,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
