    Job description

    Title Legal Operations Lead

    Location: Los Angeles, CA

    Work Mode: Hybrid

    Duration: 12 Month

    Core Responsibilities

    • Productize core legal work: Identify the high-volume, repeatable work across our global team and redesign it from a one-to-one into a one-to-many model, so routine requests become self-service and attorneys are freed to focus on strategic, high-value work.
    • Legal tech stack implementation and evolution: Own the optimization and improvement of legal tools, from intake and contract lifecycle management (CLM) through matter management, e-billing, and legal AI tools, including the touch points and integrations with the broader Riot infrastructure.
    • Process and workflow design: Refine intake processes, self-service resources, playbooks, and automation that scale routine work and free up the team for higher-value matters. Lead system and workflow upgrades, training, adoption, and communications, to ensure new tools and processes are delivering measurable value.
    • Enterprise-wide representation: Partner with attorneys on our team on cross-functional, company-wide technology initiatives, ensuring legal requirements, risk considerations, and operational needs are reflected in decisions that touch the broader business.
    • Metrics and reporting: Establish dashboards and reporting that give leadership clear visibility into workload, cycle times, outside counsel spend, and adoption, and use that data to prioritize the roadmap.
    • Knowledge management and continuity: Document processes, decisions, and system configurations so the team can sustain and build on the work after the engagement ends.
