Job description

Ag Processing Inc has an immediate opening in its Hastings, NE location for a Class A CDL Truck Driver! This position will transport grain and bulk commodities in a safe, professional, and economic manner within Nebraska, Kansas, and Colorado. Drivers occasionally have an overnight assignment, but majority of trips are completed within the day.
Responsibilities:
  • Complies with all DOT, OSHA and Ag Processing Inc. safety programs, policies and procedures.
  • Operates truck and trailer transporting products to customer or company location. Loads and unloads product from truck. Provides related customer services in a safe, professional manner.
  • Maintains safe and courteous driving habits at all times.
  • Performs various general maintenance on trucks and equipment. Inspects and cleans vehicle to promote positive company image. Maintains correct driving logs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience with a Class A Commercial Drivers License with appropriate endorsements, which may include, but not limited to, combination, tank, HASMAT, airbrakes, etc.
  • Must be 23 years of age, have a good driving record, and two consecutive years of recent of CDL truck driving experience. Selected candidates must pass a physical exam and drug screen.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Understands and follows safety regulations and performs work in a safe manner at all times. Recognizes unsafe conditions and takes action to correct or report unsafe situations.
  • Communicates well verbally and in writing. Communicates to both supervisor and co-workers professionally and timely.
  • Accepts personal responsibility for quality of work. Accepts mistakes while taking action to minimize reoccurrence and is a good team player.
  • Takes responsibility for attendance and punctuality. Comes to work prepared and continues until the work is complete. Communicates with management when unexpected problems arise to make appropriate arrangements.
  • Has general knowledge of truck operations and maintenance.
  • Operates equipment in a safe and careful manner. Reports repairs and utilizes preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service when interacting with business contacts.
