Job description

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) currently has an opening for a self-motivated full time Maintenance person to join our team in Mason City, IA! This person will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and replacement of equipment after completing diagnosis and troubleshooting various issues.
Responsibilities:
  • Repair and/or replace broken or non-functioning equipment through analysis of problem and determining what materials/parts are needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Fabricate new plant items out of metal or wood using welder's torches, band saws, presses, and other tools.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and complete repairs when appropriate.
  • Maintain plant sanitation standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years in mechanical, construction or equivalent
  • Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations
  • Ability to read and understand computer printouts and equipment specifications
  • Skilled in operating a forklift, bobcat and end-loader
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Able to be available for on-call status periodically (as needed)
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
