Arkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled (AEDD) is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Work Instructor to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with adults with developmental disabilities, helping them develop vocational, social, and independent living skills in a supportive work environment.

Essential Job Duties
  • Supervise and support individuals participating in vocational training and work activities.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of participants throughout the day.
  • Assist individuals in meeting production goals while maintaining quality standards.
  • Provide instruction in vocational, social, and daily living skills.
  • Monitor participant progress and complete required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate production records, billing information, work sheets, and transportation logs.
  • Conduct time studies and prepare workstations for subcontracted jobs.
  • Implement and support Individual Program Plans (IPPs) and participant goals.
  • Supervise participants during breaks, lunch periods, and other scheduled activities.
  • Transport participants to and from the facility, work sites, or community activities as assigned.
  • Complete vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support program operations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in human services is preferred.
  • Valid Arkansas driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass all required background checks and pre-employment drug screening.
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification after hire.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist participants with mobility and work-related activities as needed.
  • Ability to work in a moderately active environment and travel locally.
