Senior Structural Project Engineer โ€“ Healthcare, Schools, Commercial Buildings - HYBRID!

Location: Orange County, CA
Type: Full-Time | Hybrid

About the Role

A nationally recognized structural engineering firm with offices across the U.S. and abroad is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for its Orange County office. This firm is known for delivering high-performance structural and earthquake engineering solutions, disaster mitigation services, and reconstruction assistance for critical projects worldwide. Their portfolio includes schools, hospitals, historical landmarks, commercial buildings, and infrastructure projects.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated engineer to work on meaningful and technically complex projects while developing leadership skills in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare advanced structural analysis, calculations, and drawings for projects across a variety of building types and materials

  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, clients, and internal teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions

  • Contribute to project management efforts, including schedules, budgets, and coordination of deliverables

  • Mentor junior staff while continuing to be mentored by senior leaders within the firm

  • Provide input on business development strategies and contribute to firm-wide knowledge-sharing initiatives


Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering required; Masterโ€™s degree with a structural emphasis preferred

  • 10+ years of structural and earthquake engineering design experience

  • Advanced design skills with steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures

  • Exposure to project management with proven ability to lead and deliver projects successfully

  • Licensed PE required; SE preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to mentor, collaborate, and contribute to team growth
