Job description

Adelphi is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide school-based speech-language therapy support to students within a school in Teague, Texas. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to assist with the delivery of services outlined in students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), maintain required documentation, and support student progress toward established communication goals.

Requirements
• Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license/credential
• Experience working with school-aged children preferred

Responsibilities
• Provide speech-language therapy services to assigned students under the direction and supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Implement therapy activities and interventions consistent with student IEP goals and objectives.
• Collect and maintain data regarding student participation and progress.
• Assist with progress reporting and maintenance of student service documentation.
• Maintain accurate service logs documenting dates and units of services provided.
• Communicate student performance and progress to the supervising SLP.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other educational personnel as directed.
• Assist with preparation of therapy materials and implementation of communication strategies.
• Follow treatment plans and recommendations established by the supervising SLP and ARD Committee.
• Participate in supervision meetings and other required school or program meetings.
• Maintain student confidentiality and comply with District policies and applicable professional requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned
