Job description

Acara Solutions is seeking a Transformer Service Technician for our client in Chandler, AZ 85226. This is a full-time direct hire opportunity supporting transformer field service operations within the utility and electrical energy industry.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, mechanically inclined, and comfortable supporting field service activities, equipment preparation, testing, and site operations in a travel-intensive environment.
Pay and Benefits:
  • $40.00 - $70.00/hour DOE

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support the Transformer Field Service Team with equipment preparation and job site setup
  • Assist with transformer field service activities and testing operations
  • Operate under the direction of the Onsite Field Service Supervisor
  • Assist across multiple craft and technical classifications as needed
  • Support quality control, workflow coordination, materials management, and logistics activities
  • Complete timesheets, expense reports, job documentation, and customer-related reporting
  • Assist with purchasing and equipment/material coordination
  • Maintain compliance with safety and operational procedures
  • Travel extensively to customer and field locations throughout the U.S.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Travel up to 85%
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in transformer field service within the utility or electrical energy industry
  • Transformer testing experience
  • Experience hauling trailers
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Class A endorsement
  • Experience supporting field operations, logistics, or equipment preparation
  • Mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to work independently and in team-based environments
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying environmental conditions
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
