Long Term Contract
Irving, TX
Job Summary:
As a Data Engineer specializing in MemSQL, you will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and architectures that support our data-driven initiatives.
You will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure that our data systems are robust, scalable, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data models and ETL processes using MemSQL.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow from various sources to our data warehouse.
- Optimize queries and performance for large-scale data processing within MemSQL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide technical guidance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Implement data governance and security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in data engineering and MemSQL features.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in MemSQL/SingleStore, including data modeling and performance optimization.
- Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, etc.).
- Proficient in SQL and experience with other programming languages ( Python, Java, etc.).
- Understanding of cloud platforms ( AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools ( Tableau, Power BI, etc.) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with MemSQL, data warehousing concepts and design.
- Knowledge of big data technologies ( Hadoop, Spark, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
