Role Description The Associate Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Bakersfield/Fresno, CA. This position supports the sales team in promoting Zimmer Biomet products to surgeons, surgical staff, and hospital decision-makers. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with case coverage in operating rooms, preparing product sets, maintaining inventory accuracy, and responding to urgent requests from clinical teams. The role also involves coordinating product demonstrations, gathering customer feedback, and documenting sales activities in CRM or other tracking tools. The Associate Sales Representative will collaborate with senior sales representatives, participate in product and clinical training, and contribute to territory growth through excellent service and follow-up.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to build trust with surgeons, clinical staff, and hospital administrators.
  • Organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple cases, maintaining inventory, and meeting deadlines in fast-paced clinical environments.
  • Ability to learn and retain technical and clinical product information, including indications, features, and proper usage of orthopedic and medical devices.
  • Customer service orientation and problem-solving skills, with a focus on responsiveness, reliability, and professional behavior in operating room settings.
  • Comfort working in hospitals and surgical environments, including adherence to all safety, sterility, and compliance guidelines.
  • Proficiency with basic office and collaboration tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM systems) and accurate documentation practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or a related field preferred; prior experience in medical device, healthcare, or B2B sales is an advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to support travel within Northern California and Northern Nevada territory as needed.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or occasional evenings, depending on surgical schedules.
