Job description

Work in Wellness at the New Yora Nordic Spa Maintenance and Pool Supervisor Something New Is Taking Shape

Opening in November 2026, Yora Nordic Spa is a place to pause, reconnect and experience wellbeing through nature, hydrotherapy and authentic human connection. It is a space where our team will create thoughtful and welcoming experiences that help guests reconnect with themselves, with others and with the natural world around them.

We are now building our founding team-the people who will bring Yora Nordic Spa to life and shape our culture from the very beginning. Working at Yora means working in wellness and contributing to a workplace and guest experience that are simple, inclusive, natural and social.

The Opportunity

The Maintenance and Pool Supervisor will be part of Yora's founding Maintenance and Pool Operations team. Working alongside the Maintenance Manager, this role will help prepare the property, support the team and ensure the systems behind Yora Nordic Spa are ready to welcome our first guests in November 2026. This role is anticipated to start in mid-October 2026.

The Maintenance and Pool Supervisor keeps every shift running exactly as it should. Through visible leadership, technical expertise and calm decision-making, this hands‑on role coordinates daily priorities, supports team members and ensures preventative maintenance, repairs and inspections are completed safely and to Yora's standards.

What You Will Do
  • Provide day-to-day direction to Maintenance and Pool Operations team members during assigned shifts.
  • Coordinate daily work assignments, preventative maintenance, repairs and inspection priorities.
  • Ensure guest-facing building, pool and water-treatment systems operate safely, reliably and without interruption.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance issues and emergency priorities while minimizing impact on the guest experience.
  • Support the operation of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pools, hydrotherapy equipment, water-treatment systems, boilers, life-safety systems and building automation.
  • Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance records, water-quality records and compliance documentation.
  • Complete scheduled inspections and identify reliability concerns before they affect guests or operations.
  • Coordinate contractors and service providers when directed by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Provide hands‑on technical guidance, coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Assist with onboarding and technical-skills training for new team members.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, craftsmanship and teamwork.
  • Partner with Housekeeping and Operations to maintain safe, comfortable and fully functioning environments.
  • Manage tools, maintenance inventory and parts usage responsibly.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, equipment reliability and sustainability.
What You Bring
  • Three to five years of maintenance experience in hospitality, commercial facilities, wellness or a related industry.
  • Previous supervisory, shift‑leadership or team‑coaching experience is preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pools, water treatment, boilers, mechanical systems and life‑safety equipment.
  • Experience completing preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections and technical troubleshooting.
  • Experience using a computerized maintenance‑management system or similar work‑order system is an asset.
  • Strong organization, communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • A strong commitment to safety, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions while responding to operational priorities.
  • A visible, hands‑on working style and pride in technical craftsmanship.
Schedule

This is a full-time, on‑site position. The Maintenance and Pool Supervisor must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays and participate in an on‑call rotation as required. Additional flexibility will be required during the pre‑opening and opening periods.

Benefits and Perks

As a member of Yora's founding team, you will be eligible to participate in a range of employee benefits and perks, which are expected to include:

  • Health and wellness benefits.
  • Paid time off.
  • Employee wellness privileges and discounted experiences at Yora Nordic Spa locations.
  • Bistro and retail discounts.
  • Learning, growth and development opportunities within a growing wellness brand.

Yora is currently finalizing its employee benefit plans. Specific coverage, eligibility requirements, employee contributions and plan terms will be shared during the recruitment process and will be governed by the applicable plan documents.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

This is an active position requiring work throughout indoor and outdoor spa areas, pool and water‑treatment areas, mechanical rooms, workshops and equipment spaces. The role involves extended periods of standing and walking, climbing stairs and ladders, frequent bending, reaching, kneeling and crouching, pushing and pulling equipment, and lifting and carrying routine tools, parts and operational materials. Employees work around pools, water‑treatment chemicals, humidity, steam, mechanical and electrical equipment, changing temperatures, outdoor weather conditions, noise and wet or slippery surfaces. Appropriate safety procedures and protective equipment must be used when required. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Reasonable Accommodation

Yora Nordic Spa provides reasonable accommodations to qualified applicants and employees in accordance with applicable law. To request an accommodation during the application or interview process, please contact People & Culture at careers@yoranordicspa.com.
