Job Description

Catalyx is seeking an experienced DeltaV AutomationEngineer. This role will provide hands-on DeltaV expertise during theimplementation of a new Distributed Control System (DCS) and the integration ofmultiple new bioreactors into the manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise for theimplementation and startup of a new Emerson DeltaV DCS at the manufacturingsite.
  • Support the installation, configuration, andcommissioning of approximately 10–12 new bioreactors integrated into DeltaV.
  • Partner with internal automation, engineering,and manufacturing teams throughout the Phase III construction project.
  • Review and support DeltaV configuration, controlmodules, graphics, alarms, and system functionality.
  • Assist with commissioning, qualification,startup, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Collaborate with the site's system integrationpartner while providing additional DeltaV subject matter expertise to theinternal team.
  • Identify and resolve automation issues to ensureproject milestones and startup schedules are met.
  • Ensure all automation activities comply with GMPrequirements and company quality standards.
  • Document system changes and support testingactivities as needed.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on Emerson DeltaV experiencein pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturingenvironments.
  • Experience with DeltaV system configuration,commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of GMP manufacturing andvalidation practices.
  • Experience integrating process equipment intoDeltaV, preferably including bioreactors or upstream processing equipment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively withcross-functional engineering and operations teams.
