From our Indianapolis, IN hub, we’re hiring an experienced CDL‑A professional to move specialized products that help solve the world’s most critical water challenges.

A night on the route

Your shift begins between 9:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. (you’ll receive a minimum two hours’ notice before loading). You’ll pre-trip your 48’ or 53’ tractor‑trailer, coordinate with our internal shipping team, and use a forklift to load specialty water treatment materials. Your lanes connect Xylem facilities only—no public loading or unloading—and commonly include destinations such as Omaha, Memphis, and Pittsburgh. At each facility, you’ll unload product, reload used material, and keep precise e‑logs and order data on company systems. Most runs return you to Indianapolis weekly, with occasional overnights in the truck.

Compensation and schedule

• Pay: $70,000–$75,000 annually (dependent on experience/skills)
• Sign‑on bonus: $5,000
• Overtime available
• 3rd‑shift regional routes; consistent Indianapolis start/finish on each run
• Weekly home time; occasional overnight stays in the truck

What you’ll do

• Operate 48’/53’ tractor‑trailers safely; load/unload using a forklift
• Transport specialty water industry products exclusively between Xylem facilities
• Unload products and reload used material at each stop
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and shipment data
• Communicate clearly and courteously with internal teams

What you bring

• Valid CDL‑A and a clean driving record
• 1+ year of recent tractor‑trailer experience
• Comfort working 3rd shift with flexible start times
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb in/out of cabs and trailers; forklift experience a plus
• Strong safety mindset; adherence to DOT/state/federal regulations
• Reliable communication, teamwork, and a willingness to learn
