Role Description The Accounting Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Fremont, OH. This position supports the accounting team with daily tasks such as recording transactions, maintaining accurate ledgers, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements. The role includes preparing and updating financial records, helping compile information for financial statements, and entering data into accounting software. The Accounting Assistant will also assist with filing, documentation, and responding to internal inquiries about invoices, payments, and account balances. Collaboration with other departments and adherence to company policies and timelines are key aspects of this role.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess skills in Accounting, Finance, and Bookkeeping to support daily transaction recording and basic financial analysis.
  • Candidates should possess skills related to Financial Statements to assist in preparing reports and ensuring accuracy of financial data.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Accounting Software to efficiently enter, track, and reconcile financial information.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for spreadsheets and data management.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  • Prior experience in an accounting or administrative support role is preferred.
  • Associate’s degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
