Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinarian to join our team in Dayton, OH. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality veterinary care in a supportive and collaborative environment. As a veterinarian, you will have the opportunity to practice in a well-equipped facility, providing comprehensive care to small animal patients while building lasting relationships with their owners. Key Responsibilities:
  • Comprehensive Veterinary Care: Provide excellent veterinary care for small animals, including wellness exams, vaccinations, diagnostics, treatments for illnesses or injuries, and preventive care.
  • Surgical Expertise: Perform routine surgeries such as spays, neuters, dental cleanings, and more advanced procedures as needed.
  • Client Communication: Build strong relationships with pet owners by offering clear, compassionate communication about their pets’ health, treatment plans, and preventive care.
  • Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools such as radiography, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory services to accurately diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.
  • Emergency Care: Provide emergency care during regular hours for urgent medical cases that require immediate attention.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with a team of veterinary technicians, support staff, and fellow veterinarians to ensure exceptional patient care and smooth clinic operations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, detailed medical records for each patient, adhering to clinic protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in veterinary medicine through continuing education opportunities and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school.
  • Valid veterinary license to practice in Ohio (or the ability to obtain one).
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong interest in small animal care, surgery, and emergency medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and a dedicated team.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
