    The Position: Project Manager

    Type: Full-time

    Reports To: Division Manager

    Although posted across multiple locations, we are only looking to fill ONE position.

    Key Responsibilities:

    People Management

    • Provide direction and support to team members, fostering collaboration and ensuring that everyone is working toward common objectives.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for the general foreperson, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring that communication is clear, timely, and transparent.
    • Assign tasks to team members based on their skills and expertise, ensuring efficient task completion.
    • Maintain and accuracy of all records and reports related to the performance of the crew's operation.

    Site Management

    • Ensure the appropriate resources (personnel, materials, equipment) are available and allocated effectively throughout the project.
    • Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring costs remain within the agreed-upon limits.
    • Make critical decisions on behalf of the project, balancing time, cost, and quality requirements to keep the project moving forward.
    • Create plans to manage timelines, identified risks, and quality control.
    • Comply with applicable federal, provincial and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Experience and Knowledge Expectations:

    • Current ISA Certification and a minimum of 4-5 years' experience leading tree trimming crews.
    • Herbicide applicator or operator's certification and license as required by Wright Tree Service of Canada and local, provincial, and federal law.
    • Current Class 5 Driver's license with less than 6 demerits.
    • Applicant must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
    • Valid First-Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain.
    • Basic knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits and correct arboricultural techniques for the trimming, pruning, repairing, maintaining and removing, as applies to working in close proximity to energized conductors.
    • Knows and understands the American National Standards for Tree Care Operations (ANSI Z133.1-2000) and the American National Standards for Proper Pruning (ANSI A300).
    • Understanding of provincial and national occupational health and safety rules and guidelines.
    • Experience with computers focusing on Microsoft Office products.
    • Has a basic knowledge of electrical circuit and must be skilled in the reading and understanding of circuit maps.
    • Ability to communicate professionally, both verbal and in writing, with the general public, customers, and fellow employees.
    • Ability to work long hours and overtime during emergencies (including holidays, weekends, storm work) and will be subject to call-out work.
