Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual salary: $288,764 - $318,071 based on years of experience and quality incentives.
  • Financial incentives: $35,000 Geographic Differential Stipend, Sign-On Bonus and Relocation assistance.

Schedule and Work-Life Balance:

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with no call responsibilities.
  • Generous Time Off: 33 days (264 hours) annually, including holidays, and 10 (80 hours) additional days of CME.

Practice Details:

  • Clinic facilities: 11 exam spaces with one procedure rooms. One medical assistant per physician, dedicated Primary Care nurse case manager, and nurse triage. Ancillary services include Mammogram, CT, DEXA, Ultrasound including ECHO, X ‑ ray, laboratory services, and MRI.
  • Patient Volume: 12-14 pediatric patients per day in clinic, plus 4 hours of administrative time weekly. EMR and tools include Meditech, Dragon Dictation, and DAX AI assisted documentation.
  • Procedure opportunities: Women's health, prenatal, vasectomies, colposcopies, circumcisions, wound care, draining abscesses, and cyst removal.
  • Hospital Capabilities: Attached to Wrangell Medical Center a Critical Access Hospital with a 24/7 emergency department.

Additional Care Opportunities:

  • Occasional long-term care and home visits.
  • Optional involvement in rural outreach or consultative support.

Qualifications:

  • New graduates encouraged to apply.
  • MD or DO with an Alaska medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine
  • Active DEA registration
  • BLS certification required
