Client could consider a good college pedigree with some type of QA experience during the academic period. This doesn't have to be significant experience just something to minimize a complete learning experience.
 
This will be in the Jefferson City office and work on-site.

As a Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through meticulous testing procedures. You will work closely with the development team to understand project requirements, create test plans, and execute test cases to identify and report defects. The role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and effective communication to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1.      Test Planning: Collaborate with the project team to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test plans that cover all aspects of the application.

2.      Test Case Design: Develop detailed and well-organized test cases based on functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

3.      Test Execution: Execute manual test cases to identify defects, verify fixes, and ensure the overall quality of the software. Perform both functional and non-functional testing.

4.      Defect Reporting: Clearly document and report defects, including detailed steps to reproduce, to facilitate efficient communication with developers.

5.      Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and resolve any issues that arise during the testing process.

6.      Test Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation, including test cases, test results, and other relevant artifacts.

7.      Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies. Provide feedback on ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the testing lifecycle.

8.      Communication: Effectively communicate testing progress, results, and any potential risks to project stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

·       0-2 years of experience as a Functional  Tester or in a similar role.

·       Strong understanding of agile methodologies.

·       Good understanding of system integrations and architecture

·       Proficiency in creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Strong communication and collaboration skills.

·       Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

·       Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.

  • Good understanding of JIRA and Dashboard creations to showcase right KPI
  • Ability to read and write basic API workflows using JMETER or POSTMAN tools
  • Ability to read and interpret logs

Preferred:

  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB).
  • Knowledge in gaming domain.
