Woodfords is seeking a full-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our growing Community Supports Program in Kennebunk, ME!
Position Summary
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at Woodfords' Expedition Program play a vital role in assisting adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives! They engage in a range of community and center-based activities while incorporating therapeutic and evidence-based practices that foster the achievement of personalized goals and future planning.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, have a team-oriented approach, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact. With a focus on empowering individuals to reach their full potential, DSPs become an integral part of their journey towards greater independence and improved quality of life. Key responsibilities of the DSP role encompass:
  • Assistance with Self-Care Tasks

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license & use of reliable vehicle with current auto insurance
  • Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification, or successful completion of the full DSP course within 6 months of hire (Employees are paid by Woodfords when attending DSP training)

Woodfords Family Services is a nonprofit organization that's been committed to the support and inclusion of people with special needs and their families in Maine communities for over 55 years! Today, the organization provides a wide array of clinical, educational, behavioral health, residential, community and family support programs to more than 2,000 children, youth and adults with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses throughout the state.
