Job description

Do you have a knack for creating wonder and sparking imaginations? Flip everything you know about work upside-down! WonderWorks is looking for dynamic people to join our team. WonderWorks is an indoor amusement park that combines education and entertainment with more than 100 hands-on exhibits that challenge the mind and spark the imagination.
WonderWorks Myrtle Beach is looking for Cooks to join our team! Our Cooks prepare quality menu items for our guests to ensure a WONDERful dining experience! Cooks stay busy making food to satisfy a high volume of guest orders and maintaining all food safety standards in the work area.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and makes all food items by following the recipe and meeting required guidelines and food safety standards
  • Checks all equipment daily to make sure it is operational and clean
  • Date and label all ingredients and food products
  • Stock food and beverage orders upon arrival and rotate food items by following FIFO methods
  • Clean all food prep areas, utensils, and kitchen equipment continually as used
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills and organizational skills
  • Ability to efficiently multitask and work independently
  • Ability to read and understand recipes
  • Proficient knife skills
  • Experience working in the culinary field
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience working in a high-volume kitchen preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the work area for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work any shift including nights, weekends, and holidays
