Line Cook — With Others

With Others is a neighborhood wine bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, with a seasonal food menu and a wine program focused on small, thoughtful producers from around the world.

We’re looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. We’re a small team, so we’re looking for someone who is reliable, organized, has a positive attitude, and genuinely wants to be part of a kitchen team.  You're someone who takes pride in your station but is also happy to jump in and help wherever needed.

We periodically bring in guest chefs and events, so there are opportunities to work with and learn from different chefs and styles of cooking. We also put a big emphasis on wine education, with regular staff tastings and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute mise en place for your station
• Cook and plate dishes consistently according to recipes and standards
• Run a clean, organized station throughout service
• Communicate well and work collaboratively with the kitchen team
• Jump in with prep and other stations when needed
• Properly store, label, date, and rotate ingredients
• Follow NYC DOH food safety and sanitation standards

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of line cook experience; NYC experience preferred
• Solid knife skills and cooking fundamentals
• Organized and able to work with urgency during busy service
• Reliable, punctual, and communicative
• A positive attitude and team mentality
• Attention to detail and pride in your work
• Curious, open to feedback, and interested in learning
• Availability to work evenings and weekends
• NYC Food Handler Certificate is required

Compensation & Perks

$22–$24/hour, depending on experience
