Position Summary

The Residential Cook plays a vital role in supporting our clients’ recovery journey by preparing nutritious, high-quality meals in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. This position requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to accommodate a variety of dietary needs while maintaining kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve meals and desserts in accordance with established menus and portion guidelines
  • Accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions as required
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dining, and food preparation areas
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in a timely manner
  • Set up and break down dining areas, ensuring a clean and orderly environment
  • Deliver meals to designated areas at scheduled times
  • Dispose of food waste and manage trash removal in accordance with health standards
  • Clean and sanitize food stations, surfaces, and kitchen equipment
  • Monitor and restock kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed
  • Assist in maintaining kitchen appliances and reporting any maintenance concerns
Qualifications

  • Previous cooking or food service experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
